Birding for Wellness
Birding for Wellness
Saturday, October 10, 2026 | 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM
In honor of World Mental Health Day, we are inviting visitors to take part in enjoying the mindful wellness benefits of birding.
We will approach birding as a way to practice mindfulness through sustained attention and curiosity. Observing birds in nature can reduce stress, anxiety as well as enhance our sense of connection and belonging.
We suggest bringing a journal to record your observations, binoculars and dress in weather-appropriate layers.
